New Product Alert - Aveda's Texture Tonic

We are SO excited that this product is finally on our shelves and available for our clients to purchase!! Summer never needs to end when you’ve got Texture Tonic because this amazing product will help give you that beachy wave and texture that you love all year long.

The Texture Tonic is a 94% naturally derived styling spray that uses epsom salts and cane sugars to create tousled texture and flexible hold while leaving the hair touchable and infused with natural shine.

Unlike other texture or salt sprays on the market Aveda’s Texture Tonic won’t leave hair looking dull or feeling crunchy and dry. To ensure that the Texture Tonic would provide the benefits of both the salt and the sugar in the product, Aveda formulated the Tonic using epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), rather than table salt (as many other texture sprays do) because of the specific chemical make up of epsom salt. Magnesium sulfate has larger, more diffuse ions that, unlike the sodium chloride in table salt, won’t leave a crunchy texture on the hair or negate the humectant benefits of the cane sugar.

The Texture Tonic goes “beyond the beach” to enhance natural texture, revive hair for second day styling, or create a blow out with that “lived in” look that we covet.

How does it work? Magnesium sulfate helps contract and compress the hair, instantly giving you that piecey, defined texture that you’ll have after a day at the beach. Cane sugar acts as a natural humectant that leaves hair with a soft and touchable texture infused with natural shine. Finally, pullulan – a naturally derived styling polymer – helps create a tousled texture and easy, flexible hold that works with all hair types.

To use, simply apply mids to ends on damp or dry hair, run your fingers through your hair, and then use your palms to scrunch your hair into your desired texture. The beach will be with you all year long!
